The Redeemer Youth Group is planning our July 2022 ASP
(Appalachia Service Project) Mission trip!
Adults of all ages and Youth who are currently in 8th grade or older are welcome to attend – no experience necessary!
We will have an informational meeting on Monday, January 10th at 6:30 in the Redeemer Youth Room (under the sanctuary). Anyone who has any interest in serving should plan on attending to learn more, ask questions and determine if this trip is right for you. Check out ASPhome.org or find ASP on YouTube familiarize yourself with the ministry.
Date - We will be loading up and heading to the mountains on July 23rd and will return on July 31st.
Location – Not yet assigned, but somewhere in Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, or Kentucky
Financial responsibilities – Each person is asked to make a $50 deposit to reserve their space and then participate in the fundraising events between now and July to cover the balance of the cost.

Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study Resumes January 12th
The new topic for the New Year is “Giving God Your Future”. In Psalm 31 David writes, “But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’” David was able to say this because he had developed a lifestyle of depending on the Lord in every situation – both the good times and the bad. The same is true for us. When we’re willing to completely trust our future to God, the relationship we long for with Him deepens, strengthens, and becomes more vibrant.
In this study, we will explore what Scripture has to say about giving everything to God and surrendering to Him. We will examine what the Bible teaches about yielding your will to His will, and depending solely on His strength. We will discover how we, like Christ, can truly pray, “Not my will, but Yours, be done.”

Pastor Steve will teach Membership Class 201, the second in a series of four classes making up Life Development Seminars, a program at Redeemer designed to help God’s children grow in discipleship. This 4-hour class, held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will focus on growing in Christian maturity through the development of the spiritual habits of Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and stewardship. Lunch will be served. Make time for this important, relevant teaching of the Word in your life.

NOTE THE TIME CHANGE - Interested in going to Israel? – On Saturday, January 22th, at 2 p.m., we will have a meeting at Redeemer Lutheran Church for anyone interested in travelling to Israel in January 2023 (January 9-18).
