“IN LOVE, WORD, AND DEED” is a ministry for the homeless in downtown Minneapolis. They are a non-facility, faith based Christian Ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel and providing for the needs of the poor and homeless in the Twin Cities area.  They are an independent and grass roots ministry partnering with multiple churches. They believe that. “Jesus went to the hurting, the sick, and the sinner…so we go.”

Beginning Sunday, February 26^th we will be collecting specific hygiene items to go into bags to be distributed by their street team volunteers as needs arise and through direct requests.  Our goal is to make 200 “Blessing Bags”.  On Wednesday evening, March 29^th please come and help pack and pray over what we’ve collected.

There will be a collection bin in both the church and school lobbies. Anyone wishing to make a financial contribution rather than purchasing items, thank you.  Checks can be made out to Redeemer Lutheran and write “Blessing Bags” in the memo line. 

Commit to Knit...or Crochet - The Redeemer LWML has started their annual baby cap drive. We will be accepting baby caps until April 23, 2023. There is a display in the hallway with patterns available for sizes Preemie to Large. There is also a collection tub by the display for completed caps. These baby caps will be donated to Children's Hospital. If you have any questions you can contact Julie Olson at 320-522-0178.
