“IN LOVE, WORD, AND DEED” is a ministry for the homeless in downtown Minneapolis. They are a non-facility, faith based Christian Ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel and providing for the needs of the poor and homeless in the Twin Cities area. They are an independent and grass roots ministry partnering with multiple churches. They believe that. “Jesus went to the hurting, the sick, and the sinner…so we go.”
We are collecting specific hygiene items to go into bags to be distributed by their street team volunteers as needs arise and through direct requests. Our goal is to make 200 “Blessing Bags”. On Wednesday evening, March 29th please come and help pack and pray over what we’ve collected.

- *hygiene items can be the travel size or smallest regular size
There will be a collection bin in both the church and school lobbies. Anyone wishing to make a financial contribution rather than purchasing items, thank you. Checks can be made out to Redeemer Lutheran and write “Blessing Bags” in the memo line.

Pick up your copy of Man of Sorrows, People of Joy devotions from Lutheran Hour Ministries for Lent. Copies can be found on the small table in the lobby, or can be downloaded to your computer or smartphone.

Portals of Prayer - the 2nd quarter of Portals of Prayer are located on the table in the lobby. Three different sizes are available: pocket, digest, and large print.
Easter Flowers - In the past, we've given members the opportunity to purchase Easter Lilies and other flowers in honor or in memory of someone, and used them to decorate the chancel area.
Our church wholesale supplier, Lynde Nursery, experienced an arson fire last October and unfortunately they were not able to grow their beautiful Easter Plants this year due to lack of water, electricity, etc.
We have found a new wholesale supplier this year. If you would like to order a plant or two for Easter, please download the form below, attach your check and give it to Deaconess Kris in the church office. Thank you!
“Behold Jesus Christ!” (Lent 2023)
A unknown little hymn from Ethiopia, hidden in our Lutheran hymnal, (#542) will guide us to the cross during our six weeks of Lenten worship. “When I Behold Jesus Christ” was written and composed by a sixteen year old girl from Ethiopia, Almaz Belhu, and submitted to the Mekane Yesus Church in Ethiopia when compiling a new hymnal in 1970.
Witnesses from the Gospels will help us to “Behold Jesus Christ! Hearing their first-hand stories will bring us closer to understanding Jesus’ purpose and plan, which included being a prophet, a healer, and a Savior.
Each service will conclude with a character portrayal and a closing song of reflection.
All evening services begin at 7pm.

Commit to Knit...or Crochet - The Redeemer LWML has started their annual baby cap drive. We will be accepting baby caps until April 23, 2023. There is a display in the hallway with patterns available for sizes Preemie to Large. There is also a collection tub by the display for completed caps. These baby caps will be donated to Children's Hospital. If you have any questions you can contact Julie Olson at 320-522-0178.
LWML Spring Gathering here at Redeemer on Saturday, April 15, 2023 9am - 11am. Alfred Baldwin will be presenting Christian Education: A Necessity in Our Neo-Pagan Culture. Gifts from the heart for Laurel Community School include Multi-Purpose Lap Tray (from Hobby Lobby) and donations to purchase playground equipment.
