Get Ready for 40 Days of Prayer! – On Sunday, September 13th, during the adult Bible class at 8:30am, Pastor Steve began teaching a 5-session video study called Draw the Circle – Taking the 40-Day Prayer Challenge.
Have your prayers become stagnant? Do you long to see God move in fresh ways? Are you ready to move to new places in your walk with God? If so, it’s time to take the 40-day prayer challenge and press into God like never before.
Prayer is powerful, especially when you gather with other believers in Christ. Join your brothers and sisters as we study God’s Word through the teaching of Pastor Mark Batterson. Each participant will have a study guide and a copy of Draw the Circle book, which contains further insights into the material you will be studying.
Pastor Steve will also teach the class through a weekly Zoom meeting, time and dates to be announced.
For those unable to attend either class, you will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Draw the Circle book and read through the 40 days of devotions, as well as receive a 2-minute daily video from Pastor Batterson on the prayer theme of the day.

October 7, 2026 we have 30 spots are reserved for Redeemer’s first of 4 service projects for the 2026-27 season: Feed My Starving Children food packing night. We will meet at the FMSC Chanhassen location (18732 Lake Drive E.) and pack food from 7:15-8:45 p.m. Adults and children 6 years old and up are welcome to pack. Make a difference for children around the world! Invite your friends to come with you and pack. Many non-church going folks jump at the opportunity, since FMSC has a wonderful reputation in the community.

What's New? How About Sign Replacements?
Redeemer has made application to the City of Wayzata to replace our nineteen-year-old changeable letter signs on Ferndale Avenue and Wayzata Boulevard. Approval from the City is not expected until November. The new signs will have digital screens with active displays like you've seen at other businesses and institutions. They will offer improved communication not only for Redeemer Lutheran Church and Redeemer Christian Academy, but for the community as well. And, oh yes, no more weekly manual sign message changes which have been done by volunteers over 900 times! The estimated cost is $90,000 for both signs. Please prayerfully consider a donation to this important Redeemer project. We have approximately $40,000 toward the goal currently.
Service Opportunity
The altar guild is looking for a few new members. The volunteer opportunity is for a month or two each year. It entails filling candles, changing the flowers on the altar, and setting up communion on the first, third and fifth (if there is one) Sundays. You also are asked to dust each week and for the occasional funeral, refill candles, and straighten up. We will have someone team up with you that is used to the routine. Pastor Keith Perry along with DJ Jan have put together a program using secular songs and attaching a message of faith. They will be here at Bethlehem, 5701 Eden Prairie Road, Minnetonka (Glen Lake) on Sunday, October 11 and will begin after the church, around 10:45am. All are invited - bring a friend!
